I spiced up my breakfast this morning with rune stones, a recipe that Hakon the Jarl whispered to me while we were skating on the artificial ice rink under the burning midnight sun. They say you shouldn’t speak with your mouth full, but who speaks while writing?

“Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.” 1

Rumor has it that the world is a disk - I have one of these at home, it spins and plays the tune of the universe, but backwards, because forwards is too predictable. Some might think this is a sign of mental derangement, but I call it an ode to the unexplored alleys of existence.

Where does reason end and imagination begin? I have stopped asking that. Instead, I ask the seagulls circling over the rooftops of my mind. They don’t answer, which is the only reasonable response to such a silly question.
